About a year ago, Kyle slipped while climbing at a park and banged his front teeth against a metal climbing bar. They have seemed slightly loose and a bit discolored ever since, so we knew the teeth had been damaged (coincidentally, Adam took a fall at the exact same age and killed one of his front teeth, making it brown ever since). We figured that like Adam's, they would just be discolored until they eventually fell out. But a few weeks ago, Kyle developed a bump on his gums above his front teeth. I took him to the dentist, and found out that an infection had developed and that they would need to be pulled if we didn't want the adult teeth damaged. So, Kyle-boy had his front teeth pulled. He did absolutely awesome, just stayed in the chair as still as could be the whole time, and told me afterward that it didn't even hurt. What a brave little boy. So he will have no front teeth for a few years - but he looks really cute that way!
He was very excited to have his first visit from the Tooth Fairy. Here he is holding the tooth fairy pillow.
And putting it under his pillow.
He was happy to go to sleep that night, and was thrilled to find a dollar for each tooth the next morning!
