Snow

 As mentioned previously, these boys have been itching to go to the snow.  Rob told them at the beginning of last week that he would take them on Saturday, and they've been talking about it ALL week.  When I got the snow clothes out a couple of days ago, Kyle immediately put on his snow pants, hat, gloves, and boots, and wore them most of the morning (not sure why he decided not to wear a shirt ... )

 This morning after breakfast, Rob and the boys were on their way.  We're lucky that it's only about an hour drive to get to the snow, so not bad at all.  And we had lots of rain this week, so there was plenty of snow in the mountains.

 Isn't the snow beautiful?  Rob said there were some meltdowns at first (mostly from Adam, who has some very strong reactions to things) caused by the cold, wet snow getting into the boys' gloves/boots.  Apparently, they had forgotten about that part of going to the snow.  Luckily, Rob was able to distract them from their discomforts and they ended up having a really good time in the end.  They did some sledding, made a snowman, and had a snowball fight.
