Grass!

Because we're crazy people, we decided to put our sod in the day after getting home from Utah. Rob had been working hard all summer doing all the prep: trenching, roto tilling, spreading compost on the ground, installing all the drip irrigation, etc. Shortly before leaving for Utah Rob and I had finally gotten the paver border down. We were finally ready for the next step and sooo ready to be done!
Adam helped some with moving the rolls of sod over and other random jobs that Rob gave him. Jack and Kyle helped by spraying down the rolls of sod to keep them from drying out. They all wore out fairly quickly though and then it was just me and Rob. :)
That was some hard, dirty work! Those rolls of sod are heavy! Pretty soon we got into a rhythm though and it started going faster.
Look how dirty I was! My feet were black at the end - I don't know how so much dirt got through my shoes and socks.
Ta Da! We are so excited to finally have grass!
